What you can expect when you see a debt adviser
- A courteous, non- judgemental adviser
- We will ask for your details such as address, contact details and any information about your debts
- Appointments typically last for 45 minutes – but may take longer
- We will seek to understand what has happened
- Please bring proof of income ( last 3 months wage slips or bank statement or P60). Don’t worry if you can’t bring to your debt appointment
- Any paperwork on the debts ( don’t worry if you can’t bring it but it helps speed the advice process up)
- We will give you advice and discuss your options – the final choice on what to do is always yours
- We will write to you confirming our advice
- We will advise you on any next steps
- We may refer you to a Money Buddy to support you with any next steps
